Rise is owned and run by a woman who has spent decades working with food. Someone who has led a life shaped and formed by cooking, baking and kitchens. A person who believes that making time to ‘break bread’ together can have an affirming effect on people and communities. We are currently a tiny team whose sole aim is to produce bread and pastries to the very highest standards. Our intention is to grow and develop our product range with great care and over time.

We bake in small batches with British, mainly organic, flour using sourdough cultures and pre-ferments. Our processes are ‘slow’.  Most of our products take days rather than hours.  The use of time to develop flavour and character is what sets a loaf from Rise apart.


Our core range of bread is available to pre-order.  This ensures our customers get the loaves they want and consequently we can avoid wasteful overproduction.
